and the ever-popular "Tap them."
I love these guys.

yes, the more I see the press releases, the more I think that the current "seige" is the operational plan.

I pinged you to a Al Jiz article.....the Sunni's are whining amongst themselves.....Fallujah isn't turning into the American bloodbath they thought it would.
Fallujah will be taken apart a section at a time..

At least we could toss a few dead cows over the wall,
maybe a pig or two?
Then you could call it a siege.

Looks like the endgame might be to take them out in batches... on our timing.
Must really steam the bad guys who have been trying to provoke a big battle for CNN.
Actually, this might be the best possible outcome. Low casualties for us... very high for them over a tortuously long period. And it leaves the town standing. Could be worse.

"Recon found [the insurgents], they were engaged, and then Specter gunships let loose," said the sniper. "They are no more."
Gives real meaning to the term "teamwork".

Lakhdar Brahimi, the United Nations envoy who is helping draft an Iraqi interim government urged the Bush administration Sunday to "tread carefully" in besieged Fallujah and avoid alienating an already angry populace.
He's been on board about what? 30 seconds ? and he's already talking UN crappola.

yes, that does seem to be the way its shaping up. this issue of the patrols still bothers me, our forces should patrol in tanks, with the iraqis walking in front and alongside the Abrams.
To: oceanview
yes, but what's the end game? do these insurgents surrender? what about the foreign fighters there? Let the number of live insurgents and foreign fighters in Fallujah represent "Bioburden".
Let each Marine sniper mission kill represent a "Sterilization Dose".
When the Bioburden reaces Zero, that is the end point in Fahullah.

The U.S. should give Brahimi a pail and shovel and tell him go have some fun. Doesn't the U.N. stand for Utter Nonsense. Someone once told me the United Nations answer to a dog bite is don't harm the dog but give it some Alpo as it must be hungry. How I wish the United Nations would leave New York and the United States. A good place for them would be France where they all can enjoy the Riviera and listen to Chirac chirp. Our marines are doing a fine job in picking the rebels off one by one with sniper fire. If the going gets tough I am sure there is a strategic plan to go into town and clear out the insurgents with the big guns on the ground and gunships in the air.

Perhaps we should have a comapaign to persuade the UN to move to France. They need to realize that the food and restaurants are extreemely good in Paris -- that might do the trick.
