About the Gardens of PARADISE it is said:
In them will be fair (Maidens), good, beautiful;-
... Maidens restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;-
... Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
Sura 55:70,72,74
According to Ibn Kathir (died 1373 CE ) in his Koranic commentary (Tafsir) of Surah Al-Rahman (55), verse 72:
"The Prophet Muhammad was heard saying: The smallest reward for the people of paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana'a [Yemen]."

This guys convoluted ramblings do not say the Koran does not offer something for murder.
I still want some Muslim to explain to me how the statements about 72 virgins or angels is not blaspheme against GOD. We are suppose to believe that GOD will turn over his pure ANGELS to be raped by bloody handed murderers.
The WRATH of GOD on these people must be unbelievable.

Reminds me of the joke about the guy who died and went to heaven. After a few days he got bored and went to talk with Peter. He said he wanted to have a look at the other option. It took a while but he prevailed. Peter said all you can do is look. And with that he pulled back a curtain and the man saw nothing but well stocked bars and crowds of beautiful women.
The man insisted he wanted to go down to Hell. Peter opposed this and reminded him that once he went he could never return. The man was adamant so Peter let him go.
When he got to hell he walked up to the nearest bar and ordered a shot of whiskey.
The bartender looked at him and said "You must be new here". Man said what do you mean. Bartender pointed to all the bottles behind him and said. "See all these bottles they all have holes in the bottom." Turning to the crowd he said, "See all those women ? They don't."

All these scholarly explanations and linguistic acrobatics may keep the academics busy but do nothing to solve the Jihadist problem. The Arab culture is rife with myths that are harmless. This one fuels ignorant horny muslims into killing us, believing that the consequence of dying gets them laid in heaven. When the imams of Makka and Medina issue a fatwa stopping this stupidity, Muslim scholars can have some credibility and honor.

Mohammed made that up, because he needed recruits to go back and conquer the last town he was kicked out of. If you have no cash to pay your thugs, promising them a trainload of virgins is the next best thing.

Can the Wahabbi really promote an urban legend? I can see a rural legend, or maybe even a suburban legend, but I just don't see how they can pull off an urban legend.
