And just wait till the boondoggle called the Stryker starts arriving - they WERE (supposedly) designed for that BUT still can't withstand an RPG or roadside bomb blast. Stryker's already been in Iraq for quite a while; have suffered low casualty rates and they're really popular with the troops.

They could buy some BTRs from the Russians. They are designed for that.

And they are inexpensive (compared to the Stryker or up-armoring the Hummer).
