The several hundred troopers that will be casualties over coming months because of inexcusable delays which can be rectified

Does the enemy bear any responsibility for our casualties?

The enemy bears absolute responsibility. If they threaten our troops then kill them as efficiently as possible.

Furthermore, give our troops the tools they need to get the job done. No bureaucratic excuse, no election politics. Just do it now so that preventable casualties can be avoided and the job done. Driving around exposing an evident weakness to the enemy is a bad idea unless we are getting something out of it. Upwards of 1000 IED attacks were attempted or completed on our troops this month alone.

Speeding up our procurement process will save lives and it requires leadership lacking in the last year at various levels.
