A bit torn on this. My first instinct was to say "What a nerd. So you didn't get an A, boohoo". But after reading the whole article, I'm not sure. The fact that another teacher overheard this teacher call the student a "b", and also heard the teacher state that she does grade African-Americans "different", just smacks of racism.

The other teacher apparently didn't hear the PE teacher state that she graded African-Americans differntly. That is something alleged in the lawsuit.

What I meant is, according to the article, the lawsuit doesn't claim the other teacher overheard the remarks about race-based grading, just the "b----" remark.
