Best news I've had in a while. Can't wait to see the document. What would be REALLY good is if they had added that they will pull the faculties* of any priest, or deacon who knowingly gives communion to a pro-abort catholic politico.
And any lay person who knowingly gives communion to such a person should be kicked out of serving as Eucharistic Minister.
[*faculties -- for those who don't know it, all catholic priests/deacons are answerable to a specific "ordinary" -- usually a bishop or abbott. In other words you just can't hang out a shingle and be a catholic priest in good standing , with the ability to exercise priestly functions -- mass/confession/preaching, etc. -- without the permission of your ordinary. "Faculties" can be suspended when appropriate. A bishop may suspend some or all of them.]
