Well, I like South Park even though that has plenty of profanity, because it's not *completely* gratuitous profanity, i.e. it only uses gratuitous profanity to make a point about profanity itself. In "This Just In" it is atmosphere, and doesn't add to any comic points.

My Grandmother always said that profanity was the feeble mindeds' way of expressing themselves with force. It's easy writing - that's why they do it...and they're not creative enough to use better language...
