The momma brought the little one up the golf course fairway, and nudged it to lay down. It finally laid down, but got up as soon as momma started walking away. She took it back to the same weed (for hiding and shade I guess) and nudged it down again.
I watched that fawn for over two hours, and showed several neighbors where it was. We took pictures from as close as 10 feet away. All the fawn did, was flip its ears up and down. Just about 2 1/2 hours later, here comes momma again. She licked it for a few minutes while it nursed, and off they went.
