Just hours earlier, North Korean leader Kim Jong Il had reportedly passed through the station as he returned from China. Hmm.

So has Kim Il-Jung been confirmed alive? Or is that an open question at the moment?

Most media report the dictator passed through the area hours before this happened.

>According to media reports, up to
three thousand people were injured or killed in the crash between trains carrying
oil and liquefied petroleum [?!] near the border with China. ... One witness is quoted as saying
the area around the station "has turned into ruins as if it were bombarded."

My prayers go out to the victims. It's not their fault they took birth in one of the most hellish countries on Earth.

Knowing the state of North Korea, they might be down to parafin and cow manure...

So they admit they have no flights between Peking and Pyongyang? Sounds like someone's timing was a bit off. Bet more than 3000 heads roll over and above the casualties. If I'm suspicious, imagine Kim Jong Mentally Ill.
To: Mr.Atos
It's probably LPG --highly volatile and very dangerous.
To: Hugin
I assume they mean Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) which is a liquified gas under pressure. I wouldn't claim to be an expert, but I believe it's a by product of the oil refining process. PS: explosion of a pressurized tank car of that stuff would indeed make a very loud boom and very deep crater.

Nevermind--LPG it is..

Since we're dealing with a closed society, that has closed off any communication to the outside world, the question's "open".
