Diabetes puts a whole new focus on shopping. Although I'd not really thought about it before, your standard grocery store has several thousand too many items.

Then there's that "diabetic ghetto" where they put the stuff that's supposedly edible by diabetics. Lots of it seems to be candybars. A homemade cheesecake nested on a bed of almond crumbs will suffice, of course, plus some green, hard, thinsliced strawberries!

What I want is a carb-free loaf of French bread with some peach preserves (also carb-free).
