Second Thoughts

The "powerful" Delaware County Republican machine is throwing its full support behind Arlen Specter. This "powerful" gang could not deliver the county for Dubya or his father. Let's make certain they cannot do it for Specter.
All real Republicans should vote for Pat Toomey.
***
So George Soros, an anti-American, anti-Bush billionaire, is funding Arlen Specter's senate campaign and has been a Specter supporter since 1996. Let's send the "powerful" Delco GOP machine and Soros a message. Vote Pat Toomey, Tuesday.
***
Remember Rick Santorum and Dubya have to support Specter. It's not as though they want to. One unkind word about Arlen and he'll run to the Democrats.
***
I watched President Bush's April 13 press conference and wondered how many times did those pro-Kerry flacks ask Bush to apologize or accept blame for 9-11-01. These self-proclaimed experts filled with inside knowledge are convinced that Dubya is more at fault than the murdering terrorist, Usama bin Ladin.

It looks like Air America -- the leftist talk radio network -- is already in deep financial trouble and will sink unless George "Arlen's My Man" Soros comes through with the millions he promised it. I am thinking the project should have been a big success simply because (heh heh) Al Franken has the perfect face for talk radio.

I wrote about John Kerry grumbling about outsourcing of jobs last week and suggested that he talk to Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, a fellow Democrat whose state is oustsourcing a seven-year $30 million contract to help her constituents who have problems with welfare payment.
It gets better this week.
Kerry's Democratic Party has gotten into the credit card business. The Democratic National Committee has been sending out unsolicited pre-approved credit card offers that help funnel money into DNC coffers.
The solicitation, signed by DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe, says using the card helps fund Democrat candidates in upcoming elections.
A basic complaint that Kerry and the Democrats have leveled at the President is that he's not doing enough to keep jobs from moving overseas to places like India. Ooops! It turns out that the call center for the Democratic Party credit card is located in India. One wag suggested the call center is probably in a wing of the local Heinz ketchup factory.

Very few of the national left-wing press reported on the story about Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn) heaping high praise on Sen. Robert (Sheets) Byrd when the old racist cast his 17,000th pork-laden vote.
But, Dodd's actions caught the attention of Project 21, a black leadership group.
Project 21 spokesman Kevin Martin said he is outraged at the comments made by Dodd and is shocked that Dodd was allowed to make them without any backlash whatsoever.
Among the nice things Dodd said was, "He (Byrd) would have been right during the great conflict of Civil War in this Nation." This was viewed by most as a war to free the slaves.
Byrd was once a recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan.
What I cannot understand is why blacks keep voting for these guys. Maybe it's time for a change.
I suppose Specter is not as bad as Byrd, but he is up there.
If Specter wins, I'll hold my nose and vote for him in the general election
But in the Primary .. my vote is going to Toomey
I told someone else that if Arlen should win Tues -- God forbid -- I'll put my mind on hold & just pull the R lever this Nov., which means I'll be voting for Weldon too.
And, if you hadn't seen me say this before, Toomey is a much better candidate against Hoffel that Specter.
Nobody is going to split their ticket to vote for Specter. With him on the ballot you cannot have what happened in '00 -- Bush lose Pa. while a Republican senator wins.
I agree .. but don't underestimate Hoffel .. he's a nasty little bugger
If I recall .. the last election Specter had a close race too
You're not the first whose told me this. I believe it.
If I recall .. the last election Specter had a close race too
I can't even remember who he ran against. I know he had a close one in '92 against Yeakel -- I voted 3rd party in that one. :-)
An East Coast Ivy League atheist professor was teaching a university class and he told the class that he was going to prove that there is no God. He said, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you 15 minutes!" Ten minutes went by, all the time taunting God, "Here I am, God. I'm still waiting." As the last minute approached he smugly smiled. A young U.S. Marine just released from active duty and newly registered in the class walked up to the professor, hit him full force on the chin, sending him flying from his platform and crashing to the floor. The professor struggled up, badly shaken and yelled, "What's the matter with you! Why did you do that?" The Marine replied, "God was busy; He sent The Marines."
