I've always thought that if one of the planes had crashed into the Capital dome, Americans would have taken 9-11 far more seriously, particularly if a lot of members of Congress were taken out.

But once we had gotten over the loss of our historic building, would we really be so angry at losing the congress-critters?

The issue is that there are plenty of other people here who would post Steyn's articles in full.

By constantly posting first, you prevent that from happening, because a second posting would be removed by the Moderator. Thus, they are prevented from ever being posted in full and are not archived.

Maybe JR would make an exception for Steyn articles?

You give the strong impression that you WANT to piss people off, and want to ensure that Mark's articles are not preserved.

And if we "avoid your threads" we don't get to read Steyn...cutting off our noses to spite our face...a predicament you seem to derive pleasure from.

No, nothing against paid email accounts - I have one. The "free" yahoo accounts are covered by the banner and popup advertising so they are not free in the strict sense of the word; it is what the market will bear. The real point is that the registration / privacy issue is a red herring. There are many ways to be registered without yielding up privacy rights and becoming a spam target.
