Ah, that is the problem. Wristwatches were invented after the ninth century. Good muslims do not accept anything invented after that --- such as treating womem with respect, following laws that give rights to others, that sort of modern nonsense. No, the devout Muslim will beat his wife, keep her off the streets, genitally mutilate his daughter, kill the infidels, and other great things from the ninth century.
