Get it? If I point out John Kerry voted against, say, the MX Missile, I'm questioning his patriotism. But when John Kerry questions Bush's patriotism, he's merely criticizing Bush's record. This is so true. I believe it was Kondracke who recently wrote, President Bush campaigns and is accused of attacking Kerry, while Kerry attacks Bush and is excused as only campaigning.
The political jujitsu being attempted here is breathtaking. Fortunately, the Kerry campaign is really bad at it and is just opening itself up to ridicule.
