Probably already answered, but VN vet hubby says these requests were often backlogged and would therefore be signed off on the same day if they were swift in succession.

That said, hubby scoffs at these "wounds" since he airlifted men who had lost limbs and worse, and refused PH's himself as they were stitches and fleshwounds.
