And he did join the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. It was a group of thoughtful people, moderate people who wanted to end the war. They only wanted to assassinate the five or six most hawkish US Senators, not all of them.

Yeah, but no big deal, there was only one Senator killed under questionable circumstances in that time frame.
