BLITZER: Under pressure from Republicans and the news media, John Kerry's campaign today said it's working to release the Democratic presidential candidate's Vietnam-era military records and put them on his campaign Web site.
Kerry's long public career has been linked to Vietnam since the very beginning. He first rose to public prominence as an opponent of the war.

This says it all!! He also stated that he's not fit to be the Cammander of our Armed Forces. Thanks for the great post.
For anyone that has access to AOL, the full interview can be seen there. This is very damaging and I hope it gets played over and over again. The American people need to know how dangerous this guy is!
But you need an AOL account I think
It wasn't a carrier, it was a Leahy class guided missile frigate USS Gridley (CG-21, formerly DLG-21). It had Terrier missiles systems fore and aft and its only guns were dual 3"50 mounts port and starboard.
According to the Gridley's web page, he was an officer in First Division (the deck crew). It's been widely reported that he was the Electrical Officer but that doesn't appear to have been the case.
Easy!
Do it in a country where the "news" media are total sycophants for any leftist candidate.
No problem. You just never know what to believe when it comes out of his mouth. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who could lie as well as he does. (well, other than bill cinton).
I personally will NEVER forgive him for the slander that he put on me and thousands of others of us who served honorably over there. He is beneath contempt. I will do everything that I can to ensure that he never gets to the White House.
BLITZER: He did say on "Meet the Press" on Sunday that some of the words he used were probably inappropriate. He says he wouldn't use those words today, but he was young and he was passionate and he was anti- -- very anti-war. Can you forgive him for that?John O'Neill is still as quick on his feet as he was in the original Cavett interview decades ago.O'NEILL: Actually, what he said was -- or at least the part I got was that it was a little bit excessive. It's really not a matter of forgiveness. It's a matter of fitness to be the commander and chief of all U.S. forces.
Blitzer doesn't get it. And O'Neill points out Blitzer's blindness immediately.
BLITZER: As you well know, there will be charges made that you're getting involved now for political reasons, because maybe you're a Republican -- I have no idea -- or the Bush people are encouraging you to do so. Tell our viewers why exactly you are doing this now.Blitzer tries to throw a motivational curve-ball at O'Neill and O'Neill whacks it out of the park. He does it by keeping his eye on the ball: that everything in JFnK's past disqualifies him for the presidency.O'NEILL: It's not just me, Wolf. I think you are going to find many people, many people from Coastal Division 11 are coming forward now. .... Why are we coming forward? Because we were there. We know the truth and we know that this guy is unfit to be the commander in chief.
This issue is something that can't be covered up by the leftist news media.
If it was isolated, it would mean nothing. But occurring as it does at the start of the career of a politician who voted for the Nuclear Freeze and against every major weapons system in the US arsenal, this is a show-stopper.
This is it, folks.
This is the Real Deal Breaker on the question of "Can Americans Trust Kerry".
Because he doesn't believe anything -- except that he John Kerry is clearly the most important person in the world.
It said everything he got from the Navy would be posted. Wasn't there something about some of the records would have to come from the Pentagon and this accounted for the delay?
There seem to be two copies on A Libris, however, one for about $500 and one for about $650.
How abot giving John the name "Swifty"
