Perhaps things have changed a little, but when I was there virtually everyone had a cold Lone Star in that free hand. You better not get caught now. They used to not have open container laws, and you used to be able to drink while driving, just couldn’t be drunk and drive. But yep, it wasn't unusual to see someone driving down the road sipping a beer.
