I remember the publication of David Schippers' book "Sellout: The inside story of President Clinton's impeachment," that criticized the Republicans. The mainstream media folks (including the best and the brightest Sacramento Bee brains) published glowing accounts of the book in "news" articles.
Then one of the nitwit employees of the mainstream actually read some of the book and learned that the criticism of the Republicans was for not doing their duty. End of "news" articles praising the book and end of Mr. Schippers as a respectable person in the feeeeeeeelings of the mainstream.
Now here is Mr. Clarke's book. Wall-to-wall praise -- but! the book also contains information that could help spur action to investigate the OKC bombing by a Gorelickless DOJ and Congress.
To wit, "We do know that Nichols' bombs did not work before his Philippine stay," writes Richard Clarke in "Against All Enemies," "and were deadly when he returned."
I believe the book also contains information on how the "center fuel tank" became the reason that TWA 800 exploded.
Was Mr. Clarke's book a clever trick by the Republicans? Or just dumb luck, if we get serious hearings on thse matters. (It took years to get serious hearing on Ruby Ridge and Waco.)
I know that mainstream Repuiblicans are clever enough to take on the Clinton Rats -- I didn't know that they were brave enough to try.
