The whole "commission" became a joke when they began appearing in press conferences and on talk shows. How is that any different than a judge and jury doing the same, before the verdict? No shame, no common sense, no desire to do the right thing. "Look at me! Look at me! I'm an attention whore!" I wonder what the tax cost of this joke will be.

And more than a little dangerous. Whether it was arrogance, neglegence, incompetence..., whatever the reason, she has no business working in a position where human lives may be directly affected.

What's left out here is equally damaging. For 3 years, Goerlick was #2 at Justice. Meantime, Tenet was #2 at CIA. They met every 2 weeks to discuss terrorism threats against the US. That such a person (never mind the "wall" memo) would be on the commission is completely irresponsible, ---even if she's completely blameless.

Add the Independent Counsel (Smaltz) investigation of
Tyson Foods, Espy, Clinton et al. to your list.

Yep... Ms. Gorelick was right there!

Is Gorelicker the one who formulated the policy that personnel badges indicating top secret, secret, and unclassified would no longer bear any distinctive markings, so nobody would feel left out?
