Actually, I've never posted on the subject of legalizing marijuana. I don't have a problem with doing so. I think as a specific drug, it should be explored. I have had clients who use it to calm themselves in lieu of anti-depressants or anti-anxiety drugs in custody cases. I of course, tell them not to but as with all my advise, it's sometimes ignored. Long ago, I would use it myself as a recreational drug. I wouldn't use it now because it's illegal and unregulated. I assume that the people who make it available also deal in murder for hire and prostitution... things that I don't want to support. duh. Ritilan is pretty bad. But there are some kids who need something in order to function. Worth looking into.

Guy, I disgree with using this on kids.
But if drugs were legal, just think of how many socialists in this country would be stoned out of their minds at home, instead of trying to rule the rest of us like we were their personal slaves.

"For the sake of the children."
Drugging the kids is the only way a parent or teacher can be successfully self absorbed. Turn them into zombies, and it's like they've never been born.

Obviously your children don't have ADHD.
I expect my children to go to school and learn, something they can't do if Jr sitting next to them is climbing the walls. Some kids need medication.
I'm pretty disgusted that pot has not been explored more than it has for medical purposes.

Wow, giving kids drugs so they'll behave better. It'll never catch on.

Hmm, when I was a kid and had trouble focusing, my mother just made me run around the house 10 times. That worked wonders, burned off energy and I finished my homework promptly after that.
Kids just have energy to burn, they don't need downers.

Let's ignore the fact that females are born with all the eggs they will ever have and the effect that drugs will have on her potential children.
Of course, no one wants to try the simple stuff: have kids have streneous playfull exercise (not necessarily organized sports); get them off fast/processed food diets; turn off the tvs, gamboys, x boxes, etc,; spend time with them. Adjustments like that could just as easily help many unruly kids.

Obviously your children don't have ADHD.No. I'm a good mother. I've taught them to sit still and pay attention to their elders.
My kids aren't victims of the village.
There's no need to drug kids. All they need are parents who love them. Too many kids are thrown into the village, and never taught how to be human.
Rather than punish the children, why not charge parents with neglect?

There are SO many other avenues to try with restless kids BEFORE having to give them any type of drug. Many parents and (doctors) just aren't creative enough to seek these alternatives out, In My Humble Experience.

No. I'm a good mother. I've taught them to sit still and pay attention to their elders. I just don't know how to reply to one so arrogantly ignorant of disorders.

Adjustments like that could just as easily help many unruly kids.Amen. The Jesuits who taught my sons knew all about these methods. Every young man in that high school had to be on an athletic team, or in some extra-curricular activity. They also had to work for service points in order to graduate. "Men for others" was their motto. Kept my kids out of trouble. They were too tired to even think about it!
Between the sports, practices, homework, raffle tickets they had to sell, kids from poor neighborhoods that they had to mentor, and part time jobs -- they collapsed into bed at 10 PM and were up at 5AM. No TV, no parties, no nothing. They got an excellent education and have grown up to be college graduates, good husbands, fathers, and contributors to their communities.

Yeah. I remember when ADD was simply called 'misbehaving'.
