True enough, but trusting unnamed sources quoted in the Sun is laughable. Who turns past page 3 in that rag anyway?

Please tell me what you really think of the Sun.

I'm not saying that the Sun is gospel, obviously it's not, but it makes for interesting reading. How many "unnamed sources close to the Bush Administration" has CNN quoted over W's term? And CNN has a known agenda, as does ABC, CBS, etc....

Calling the Sun a rag may make you feel good, but it's only one in a very large pile of rags, many of which are incorrectly treated as trustworthy.

If the validity of every news item posted on FR were subject to fact verification before posting, this would be an awfully quiet forum.

Newspapers reported on Tuesday that police were investigating plots to launch suicide attacks, possibly at Manchester United's Old Trafford ground and their rival's City of Manchester Stadium and the Trafford Centre shopping complex. But both football clubs and the shopping centre said they had not been specifically targeted.

As if they would admit a soccer stadium was the target and risk scaring the fans away. Think of the money lost, man! Of course there'd be some 'splaining to do if the bombs had gone off at the first goal.
