I have much the same problem trying to explain the circumstances which overtook my own uncle. Appreciate the possibility that Mcveigh was a soldier and died like one, and was doing what he saw as his duty, and was betrayed as much as your kids' grammy was, and if the resulting picture will not become any easier to accept, it will at least be a clearer one.
