Rush Limbaugh Predicts Gorelick Will Not Resign
9/11 Commissioner Caught in Conflict of Interest
April 17, 2004
MND NEWSWIRE
Speaking on his radio program Friday, talk show host Rush Limbaugh predicted 9/11 Commissioner and former Clinton Administration operative Jamie Gorelick would not resign her post despite the rising tide of criticism and questions over a potential conflict of interest.
"Gorelick won't resign because she has been ordered to protect Clinton, Reno and the Democrats," said Limbaugh.
Gorelick's problems emerged on Tuesday when Attorney General John Ashcroft declassified a Justice Department memo (PDF) written by Gorelick in 1995 in her capacity as Deputy Attorney General under the Clinton Administration.
The memo mandated a policy that would have made it legally impossible for U.S. intelligence services to investigate the 9/11 plot while it was unfolding.
Ashcroft's revelations of the memo's existence surprised committee members and the families of the 9/11 victims.
"And that's why she needs to resign," said Limbaugh."Not because she's investigating herself, not because she was in the DOJ when this all happened. Because she concealed information from them. And the information she concealed goes right in line with her purpose there: to protect Bill Clinton and the Clinton administration from anything that happens."
"She's on that commission for a reason, and it isn't because of her brilliant legal mind," a former DNC and Clinton White House staffer told the American Spectator. "She's there to make sure Bush and his team look as bad as possible and to protect the Clintons and Reno."
According to the Spectator article, 9/11 Commission chairman Gov. Tom Kean and House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Sensenbrenner have asked Gorelick if she would consider resigning her post on the Commission. Gorelick has so far resisted calls for her departure despite demands from 9/11 family members that she step aside and take the stand as a witness.
"This is a partisan commission," Limbaugh charged. "...they tried to get Gorelick to resign, and she will not go.... She's got to protect Reno, the Clintons, and the Democrats."

A Rush Limbaugh prediction is not "news."
And,FWIW, we must recall his earlier prediction that Hillary Clinton would not run for Senate.

I wonder what tipped him off? Her quote that she "will not resign"? Or the quote from the 9/11 Chairman stating that he "will not force Gorelick to resign"?

Gorelick has ALREADY stated that SHE WILL NOT RESIGN - talk about hearing it from the horse's mouth.

Can those slated to testify refuse to answer any of HER questions in protest?
To: RogerFGay
If she won't resign, Republicans should open up on her with everything they have!

Gorelick is now playing the victim card, claiming death threats to "blow up her children and her house", "I will not be intimidated", yada yada. Saying Rush and the VRWC are out to get her out of pure, mean Clinton hatred. Yeah right.

Something Tom Kean is obviously NOT doing for Bush.
I don't think she will resign either. Kean made it PUURRRFECTLY clear he's the chief ringmaster in this three ring circus and he doesn't need plebians telling him how to
orchestrate the amusements.

Also in the news:
"The grass is green!" declared Rush Limbaugh, sending shock waves through the mass media news industry.
"I would have thought that it was apparent," Limbaugh continued, "but you'd be surprised at what some people are just afraid to say these days."

I don't want her to resign or be recalled!
Knowing her roll, it is better for her to be up there, front and personal! Better to see you, my dear.
However, I think she just may resign under the pretense of safety. After the Tyco mis-trial (it was tyco, wasn't it) and the death threat, Gorelick may use that excuse to go hide and then WE WILL NEVER HEAR ANOTHER WORD ABOUT ANYTHING CONNECTED TO THE clinton SCUMBAGS! And blamed on the RWC, of course.
Meaning they will never be exposed, tried, and punished, as they should!!!
Thanks to our wonderful media!!!!

I thought Rush's prediction was that she would not run if there was a chance she would lose; IOW, she would only run if her election was certain.
To: RogerFGay
Gorelick won't resign, and in her Op-Ed piece in the ComPost on Sunday, she said Ashcroft lied during his testimony. Neither of which is news if you're a Conservative. Gorelick won't resign isn't a prediction or a newfound revelation, neither is her being called to testify in front of the panel she sits on either, it's mere fact, and shows the out-and-out partisanship of the panel. Also, the media's defense of her, rather than blasting her for her past deeds, shouldn't be a surprise to ANYONE.

Gorelick will be protected because she and Thomas Kean are having an affair.
I had heard rumors to this effect, but it was made clear when I saw the video on Brit tonight which showed the two of them kissing, he caressing her gently, she wiping dust off his trenchcoat and brusing her hand on his cheek, etc, etc. One need only be an experienced human being to understand what was clear evidence of two people in love interacting. (Take a look at the tape yourself at around 12:45am EST later tonight)
It makes even more sense now Kean's absurd outburst in defense of Gorelick when he said "people should mind their own business". There is no doubt that Kean and Gorelick are lovers.
