Let me get this straight, despite the fact that we are killing terrorists in Iraq, that Al Quaeda bombed madrid to change the political situation in Iraq, etc. despite the evident facts - you have 35% saying it is not a battleground in the war on Terrorism?
All to simply spite Bush.
Well, DUH.

I don't know anything about this guy .. who is he?He was instrumental in taking Bush's leadership to the Security Council table before the Iraq War, and helped craft United Nations Resolution 1441.

Haven't seen or heard any comments yet from the looney left, but I'm sure Tom Daschle is deeply saddened. LOL

I like Barzani, the cosmopolitan Kurdish leader.
The Algerian Brahimi is carrying the brief for the baathists with his complaints about those baathist 'experts' excluded from Government. The Nov 15th agreement called for all the things he mentions, so it seems we are 'grateful' for the UN to take credit for what Bremer has already negotiated!! Except Sistani wanted to roll Bremer on the assembly process, now it is coming back to life.
There is a lot of political jockeying, and that is fine, if it werent a matter of Iraqi democracy's life in the balance.
We need to make sure the enemies of Iraqi democracy stay the h*ll away from the process.

Hmmm? I would think so. There will be a 3000 person embassy in Iraq. I presume someone else will be appointed to be our representative at the UN.

Really .. I've never seen Rudi as a diplomat type - he's more a Governor type.

Sorry .. Rudi is not a diplomat! He's an organizer and an administrator - not a mediator.

Oh Good for Negroponte -
Does that mean the U.S. taxpayers don't have to cough up $600,000 for redoing his apartment kitchen in N.Y. for entertaining people????
Whew....I hope he has a nice kitchen in Baghdad!

Yup, Rudy said once that he wouldn't like a role that was mostly talking/debating (like a Senator?) as much as a role in which he could really do something. (Those aren't his exact words. :-)

But, will the Senate approve him?
