What do you mean by backward moralism?

I mean that it does nothing whatsoever constructive to take society forward, but rather fixates backward on an illusory, idealized, nonexistent past which few have a desire to see revived in its actual reality. In that instance it was primarily a thoughtless expression of antigay vilification to no other purpose.

I am always up for a rational discussion, even if points of agreement are few. I don't appreciate snide comments, as though I needed an explanation of the meaning of the word "backwards".
