Does that mean we can pull our people out of Afghanistan? I'd say it would be a fair exchange, we've been in Afghanistan a long time.

As I understand it, Spain's had troops in Afghanistan as long as you guys (or us).
Which reinforces my argument .. the Iraq withdrawal is a difference of opinion on policy, not an example of cowardice.
The Spaniards joined the fight against terror from day one .. but the new government in Madrid believes the fight against terror should not be sidetracked by what, in their opinion, is a side-issue.
I have some sympathy for their position: I believe we should have invaded Iraq, and removed Saddam ... but we should have been honest about why, rather than cloaking the move in a 'war against terror' guise.
