actually, the rise of male-dominated Islamic nations has made the entire world unsafe....
When you can declare that its Allah's wish that women have no voice, no vote, can be traded like pigs, raped at will, killed at will, what do you expect.......heaven here on earth...???

liberalism would never have taken hold in this country sans women voting. the woman's vote especially for unmarried women has gone liberal heavily since FDR.
i'm not saying it's not right that women get to vote but i am saying that giving that right to women has made liberalism infinitely more viable in this country than it ever would have been.
to my knowledge, we in America (even during slavery) never treated women at the harsh levels of the taliban. women did not vote here until 1920 (?) but I don't recall that we ever behaved like the ragheads with regards to women.....to be fair to our old oppressive great grandpas and all.
