Under the leadership of former governor Tom Kean and former congressman Lee Hamilton, the commission has acted with professionalism and skill.

I've seen more skill at a high school debating society tryout!

Another Cinton person refusing to admit they are wrong.

She shouldn't be writing op-eds in the press while the commission is still working, yet she tries to justify what cannot be justified.

I don't know why, but this reminds me of "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

Gorelick just added a brick or two, of course.

Still, Mr. Hume pretty well clinched the argument this morning when he noted that "she was a player".

Obviously she has no business on the 9/11 commission ~ no more than would Janet Reno or John Ashcroft.

Get her off of there; get her under oath; question her; find out just what her intentions, if any, really were.

For the Commission to end its work without dealing forthrightly with the Jamie Gorelick question will prove nothing more than that political street theatre works!

If the dems are going to put a participant in the lead up to 9/11 on the commission, then three republicans on it should resign from their seats so we can put Rice, Rumsfeld and Ashcroft on it. Listen to the dems howl about that.

The rats via the 9/11 hearings have exposed themselves to the harsh reality of Americans finding out the real truth.

Will the Washington Post give "equal time" if you wrote a response?

Stupid woman...........Won't testify but writes letters to the Post?

The dumb biatch just set herself up for the knockout punch. The Whitehouse has thousands of such memo's. That's what liberals do, they write memo's on top of memo's.

"Professionalism"--no doubt she means in the sense of being a professional shill for Clinton and Reno. "Skill"--this is doubtful, because I think it's backfiring. Giver her an E for Effort, but that's not a passing grade.

Let's apply some logic here. If this is an issue that requires a response in the Washington Post, it requires a response, under oath, before the commission. BUT if Gorelick has to testify before the commission as a witness, she can't be on the commission as a member who will later be called on to evaluate that testimony. Therefore, Gorelick has to resign.

That wasn't so hard, was it?

An attempt to justify the author's partisan tactics.

...just another example of an another Clintoons' DOD/DOJ official...being given space; by the Clintoons' Media Lackeys (ABCNNBCC_BS,NYT,WP & LAT) for the (infinite # of) excuses of their collective misdeeds.

...and the liberal press "GOES FOR IT" every time...like trained rats, that they are...the reason: to cover for their careful campaign of misinformation/cover-ups of the Clintoons' Regime.

”...get her under oath; question her;...”??? Someone expecting something other than spin here? Like the truth?

She condoned the paralysis between departments and with Reno strengthened the no-flow information policy. John Ashcroft has had his hands tied from the get go – the Patriot Act will and has opened all doors of communication between law enforcement agencies – but they still must contend with the legal turf wars...

”...al-Shibh was arrested by Pakistani forces, after a yearlong hunt, in a shoot-out in Karachi. His capture complicates the Moussaoui trial. He was turned over to the United States for questioning and brought to an undisclosed military base, and is expected to be tried by a military tribunal. "They're gearing up," Eugene R. Fidell, an expert on military law, said. "This is going to take months to sort out, especially if al-Shibh has exculpatory material, and both sides are probably going to ask for an extension of time. Al-Shibh has to be made available, but what if he takes the Fifth?" The trial, presided over by Judge Leonie M. Brinkema, of the United States District Court in Alexandria, Virginia, is now set for January. Moussaoui's defense team, which has so far been denied access to captured Al Qaeda members, will certainly seek testimony from al-Shibh, according to Edward B. McMahon, Jr., one of Moussaoui's attorneys. "Judge Brinkema is going to have a moment of truth," Fidell said. "It's the highest-stakes poker you could imagine."

Because of the Reno cum-Gorelick departments efforts, Zacarias Moussaoui and others are living in the lap of luxury, using America’s generous justice system and tax dollars. And as has been stated, OBL and the terrorists are getting better protection than American Citizens.

Hey, backhoe!

Here's that documented liar and pig Gorelick trying to defend her aiding and abetting the terrorists in attacks that killed 3,000 Americans!

Claims the commission is NOT a finger-pointing charade of jack-in-the-box clowns. She denies that the "commission" is comprised of Democrat operatives who are trying to blame Bush and namby-pamby Republican go-alongs! Hilarious stuff!

I'll go add it to the links.

Naturally, Gorelick runs to DNC mouthpiece 'The Washington Post' to get this lame "I-didn't-do-it-nobody-saw-me-you-can't-prove-anything" piece of drivel published.

Why is she addressing this in the Washington Post? If she wants to say that AG Ashcroft is lying, then why didn't she counter him during his testimony? Or, why doesn't she testify herself?

First, I did not invent the "wall,"

No, Ms. Gorelick, you didn't. But your memo raised it higher. By the memo's own admission: it "goes beyond the existing legal requirements".

You've still got some 'splainin' to do, lady.

My fellow commissioners have spoken for themselves in rejecting the call by a few partisans that I step aside based upon false premises.

A few partisans? Most polls are showing over 90% wanting her removal!

I have worked hard to help(thwart) the American public understand what happened on Sept. 11. I intend -- with my brethren on the commission -- to finish the job.

She is finished...

Gorelick writes - "The purpose of my memo was to resolve a problem presented to me: facilitating investigations on both the intelligence side and criminal side at the same time.

From National Review Online 4/13/04 - Commissioner Gorelick, as deputy attorney general — the number two official in the Department of Justice — for three years beginning in 1994, was an architect of the government's self-imposed procedural wall, intentionally erected to prevent intelligence agents from pooling information with their law-enforcement counterparts.

She can clear up everything just by swearing in...
