[history]
HUSAYBAH, Iraq - Lance Cpl. Dustin Myshrall knew things were going to be bad from the moment he responded to the call for help from his fellow Marines.
"There was nobody on Market Street (the city's busiest thoroughfare)," said Myshrall, 22, of Baton Rouge, La. "We were flying through the alleys and there weren't any of the little kids like you normally see. But we didn't know it was going to be this big."

According to Marine snipers reporting to their commanders by radio, some of the insurgents fired at Marines and then hid behind children.

Same thing reported from Fallujah: they put a kid on a bicycle between themselves and the Marines.

1. Semper Fi.
2. The soccer stadium should be destroyed by the heavies.
3.OSOK - Marine snipers are very capable.
4. To all - pissing of the U.S. Marines has NEVER been a good thing for anybody. Payback is a Bi%ch!

Same thing reported from Fallujah: they put a kid on a bicycle between themselves and the Marines. If the Intelligence groups would wise up and get images of this and release it to the public, it would do wonders against the anti-war movement here.

The Marines are trying to jumpstart a few local TV stations with new gear. There's an Coalition-supported TV station somewhere in Iraq, but apparently it's pretty lame.
Bremmer really needs to address the propaganda from Al Jazeera, either by jamming it down or countering with a competitor.

Agreed, and both Bush and Bremmer should realize One picture of the thugs crouching behind a kid on a bike would kill many terrorists, and save many lives, both Iraqi civililian and US Military...

One other think, I would think jamming Al-Jazeera would play into their hands. You already see the spin that occurs when A-J reporters are killed in a war-zone.

"All of the slain Marines were killed in the first 90 minutes of the battle, when they went to clear a house and were ambushed by Iraqis hiding in the building. " Im sure the 1st Mar Div has adjusted and reloaded by now. I would not want to be on the other side of them. Semper Fi.

"You already see the spin that occurs when A-J reporters are killed in a war-zone. " I think al-Jazeera should be reclassified from press to enemy combatants. I hope they have many more opportunities to spin like that.
