While Kay said investigators couldn't be sure the cargo contained weapons of mass destruction, one of his top advisers described the evidence as "unquestionable."
"People below the Saddam-Hussein-and-his-sons level saw what was coming and decided the best thing to do was to destroy and disperse," said James Clapper in comments reported by the New York Times on Oct. 29. Clapper heads the National Imagery and Mapping Agency.
Israeli intelligence has long believed that after the U.S. delayed invasion plans to allow U.N. weapons inspectors time to search for Iraq's WMDs, Saddam moved the banned weapons to Syria, the only other country ruled by the Ba'ath Party.

King Abdullah said that trucks containing 17.5 tons of explosives had come from Syria, though he took pains not to implicate Syrian President Bashir Assad in the al-Qaida plot, saying, "I'm completely confident that Bashir did not know about it."
Ok. That's your opinion.
Here's my opinion:
I'm completely confident Bashir did know all about it.

WHO caught them 75 miles from the Syrian border? Does this have something to do with the US firefight, also near the Syrian border?

We need personnel in the intelligence community with "Intestinal Fortitude" and not "PC"'mentality.
This would also be a very good time to bring back the Neutron Bomb w/ upgrades on the low yield side(.25ktw - 1 ktw size). Identify communities (Syria) and test the upgrades.

Israeli intelligence has been right more than most! Now maybe a war between Jordan and Syria?

Leaders want their sovereign immunity from harm. Since pre-history, leaders are not above the war, except among gentlemen and kooks. Islam's war crimes tactics demand that Civilization negotiates with extreme prejudice.
WMD shall be discovered upon their use against millions of infedels.

When I consider that we are over two years into a shooting war started by the incineration of 3000 Americans on our own soil, and continue to hear the Democrats braying about "no WMDs" after the evidence about our enemies mounts and is blithely disregarded, and see and hear the Democrats act as if the whole thing was fabricated or that it was completely unnecessary, and listen to the Democrats insist that things would be better if the UN ran the operation (a group including every one of our implacable enemies) I am convinced that the asinine and downright insane Democrat half of this country wouldn't even consider going to war in self defense if New York itself had been wiped out by a nuclear attack.
These "people", the Democrats, are beyond redemption. It is absolutely dumbfounding the there are so many of them at this point in time, and that they're not completely discredited and marginalized.
...And JohnEffinKerry is ahead in the polls!
