'thoughtless'? Something must have been lost in translation- thoughtless is forgetting to send a birthday card. Killing someone is a little more than that if they were deciding to criticize!

Of course, this will mean that high government officials of opposing countries will be considered "fair game" too. Israeli assassinations will make things personal.

For example, up to this point the attempts against US President have mostly been lone loonies. Now the threat from dedicated and professional assassins willing to die in order to reach their objective will rise sharply. And these people also have long memories: How good will the highly expensive Secret Service protection detail be in ...say 2020 when current administration has been forgotten by most people?

China on Sunday condemned Israel for killing Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi, saying it was "greatly" worried about spiraling violence in the Middle East.

Earth to China: "Violence is already spreading in the Middle East". Pulling out and cowering or siding with terrorists will only enbolden them. Oooops.... But I forgot that China is a puke country that terrorizes its own citizens, silly me. What was I thinking, duh?

Nothing new here, Japan has always favored the Palis vs. Israel. I think it's a combination of being aware of how much of their oil comes from the Arabs, and not having a Judeo-Christian society, i.e. there's no religious tie. Acting in their economic interest is at least more honest than the EU's pretending they're not acting out of antisemitism.
