NO. When I as a christian donate my money to my church, I'm donating money thats already been taxed. They aren't avoiding anything.

Allowing taxation of religions opens the door for government regulation of religion.

How many churches would get shut down if they were taxed at the percentages we are being taxed at.....what if they kept to the same logic and decided if they have all this money they aught to pay more.

It's not about taxing religion. This guy didn't register as a religion and in any event wouldn't be able to run a theme park under tax-exempt status.

So, are you saying that no one who works for a non-profit funded principally by donations (say, your minister, or the CEO of The United Way) should have to pay income tax even on their personal salary?

It's nonsense, but that seems to be a clear implication of what you're saying. Except that your statement in nonsense even on it's face, since donations to your church are deductible.

You knee-jerkers are falling all over yourselves to excuse a scofflaw just because he's waving a cross. Disgusting.

The US does not tax religions. Religious groups can quite easily obtain non-profit status. Of course, that begs the question: Why shouldn't churches be taxed like any other organization?
