Most municipalities have noise ordinances. Laws that say "You can't play such&such noise if it exceeds X decibels (usually a low number in the 30s or 40s).

So, if this Muslim tripe exceeds that, force them to shut it off.

If it doesn't exceed, then someone in the neighborhood needs to take care of that loudspeaker themselves. A Crosman .760 pellet gun aimed at the speaker should do the trick nicely.

Note: By 'speaker', I mean the piece of hardware from which sound emanates, NOT the Muslim himself. Not advocating violence here!

Personally, I don't blame the old woman for not wanting to hear that crap at 10 pm (or anytime).

Or mine. Of course, we do not have a large muslim population or mosque. . .yet. Hopefully the atmosphere is such that muslimes will just "feel" how unwelcome they are in these parts and KEEP the "F" out.

You definitely have been doing some very selective reading. I think everybody should abide by zoning, noise and nuisance ordinances, but find it wonderfully ironic that a law that Christians passed to exempt themselves from such ordinances could be applied to this case.

It's not about religion. It's about special interests passing laws that benefit only them, only to find out it also benefits their enemies, pissing them off to no end.

I find it creepy that a "religion" has mandatory prayer times. I'm so use to turning to Jesus in prayer whenever I need to, I guess I'm spoiled.

LOL! I'm reminded of when some boys a couple houses down were washing their car and playing music (which I normally dont mind) but this time it was not only horrible music it was horrible music being played horribly loud!

So, I get a Dean Martin CD, pop it in the 'ole Jeep, turned up the stereo, rolled down the windows, turned up the bass, and parked in front of their house.

I got out of the car and asked them if they liked my music, they looked at me like I was crazy, and said they did not, well I says if I have to listen to your music from down the street - you'll listen to mine as well!

They turned it down, and have been better neighbors ever since!

I'd be happy to have any Mormon, Protestant, Hindu, Shintoist, Catholic, Buddhist, Confucianist, Jew or whatever living next door. But no seventh-century savages who don't know how to build a modern civilized human society or how to live in one. I am not a racist. I have nothing at all against Christian or non-sectarian Arabs. I am just totally fed up with wild-eyed frikkin Muslims and the other quieter Muslims who secretly smile and nod at the wild-eyed ones who kill my fellow Americans.

You did not read the answer you critiqued, what the writer does not want is anyone's religion proselityzing from a loud speaker - three times daily!!!! It's bad enough that the religion in question inflames people to become haters and murderers. But the real problem is that any religion would be appoved to use loud speakers on a continuous manner to "shout" to anyone within hearing range, their "prayers". Wrong, it will not happen in the USA, that is the difference with muslim world, where things are forced down people's throats and ears, and this land of the free. The muslim people did not make us free, and they will not take away American freedoms. Free from hatred religions we will stand.

In my view, I have no problem with the justice department being able to snoop on any organization, even religious, to ferret out those plotting or speaking against our country. After that, I'm all for deportation of any foreign religious leader preaching hate against the United States ("incitement to a criminal act"), and cutting off any foreign lines of funding for these mosques when they come from anti-American sources. Definitely removing tax exempt status for any mosques with members advocating violence. And anything else that's constitutional.

In the end, I don't have a problem with Muslims living around me as long as they're loyal to this country and follow its laws. I do not want extremists around me, be they Muslim, Christian or Hare Krishna.
