Who was that person? Anyone remember?

I know that Dr. Henry Kissinger was originally the Head of the Commission. However, Deomcrats demanded he resign because of his business ties to Saudis Arabia.
Gorelick has more of a business tie than Kissinger through her law firm.

Maybe Henry Kissinger? He was President Bush's first pick to chair the kangaroo court, but the media and the Rats howled long and loud and he was removed from consideration.

George Mitchell stepped down from the Commission as vice chairman just before Kissinger stepped down, for the same reasons. So each "side" lost one of its people.

OF course, it's obvious, Hillary Clinton chose Gorelick and Ben Venista an vetoed any good Republicans. She has them in there to cover HER ass. IMO, Hillary ran the Justice Department, and Janet Reno was the figurehead and Jamie RAN the Justice Department under Hillary.
