No offense, but if you need a V-Chip to control what your kids are watching or listening to, you are part of the problem and not the solution.

None taken. I was just making an observation about all the little crumb-crunchers I see walking around with miniature headphones jammed in their ears. I imagine most of those headphones are attached to DVD Players, but they could just as easily be listening to Howard Stern on a Walkman style radio. Who can say when they are using headphones?

BTW, I have no kids. But I sympathize with today's parents and all the cr@p that is on TV & Radio today. The kids are immersed in it and they are old-before-their-time.

Sure it does. It makes me laugh. It makes me happy in the morning. It makes a long commute in the car more bearable.

I listen to the local FM station that carries Stern's program, but only after his show signs off. The snippets that I sometimes catch from his show are when my radio is still set to that station from the previous day. I find his act repetative & juvenile. While I'm generally for limited government, I'd make an exception when it comes to obscenity on the airwaves during the day. Stern is the very definition of obscene in my opinion.

What are the details of his Clinton-Era fines? I'd love to be armed with that info!

Stern offends the puritan right, which doesn't seem to respect the American tradition of freedom of expression.

Can anyone tell me what tradition he's talking about. I've never heard of an American tradition of being able to talk about lesbians eating "beaver" on the radio.
