I don't believe for one second that the government "conspired" to blow up a federal building. That just makes no sense.

My theory is very simple and elegant. The Klintoon Administration did not want to deal with Iraq or Al-Qaeda (or anything else that involved serious work) which may have precipitated a major war on terror in 1995. So they chose to ignore them before and after OKC. The "wall" between "intelligence" and criminal set up by Gorelick on March 4, 1995 in the secret memo was essentially a hear no evil, see no evil effort to shut out the rumblings they were getting. And the fortuitous use of a "lily-white" by Iraqi operatives for OKC on April 19 provided the perfect scapegoat who was now desperately needed to cover up the previous dereliction by Gorelick and others. In my theory, the Gorelick memo is the smoking gun for both OKC and 9/11. While the memo represents a dereliction and negligence, the coverup of the Iraq-OKC connection to avoid embarrassment and political fallout over the memo and other actions represents deliberate overt conspiracy to obstruct justice.

I think that is why the exact date is not on the released memo which would show that it preceded OKC by 6 weeks. But Janet Reno unmistakable refered to it in a publically available memo, giving the date as March 4, 1995. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1117190/posts?page=75#75

What do you think of my theory?

A pretty sound theory, but I would add that the wall was a way to keep FBI from following up on illegal Dem. foreign fundraising activities.

Well, my opinion has been and is this....What was the one thing that clinton wanted more than anything for his "legacy"? Middle East peace. He worked for years on brokering peace between Israel and Palentine. He got Mubarek (spelling, sorry) to give in so many demands of Arafat that it was crazy. He tried and tried to make that work. Any evidence that there was a ME connection to OKC, or TWA 800 or any other acts, would have caused the American Public to demand war action in return. Just as 9-11 did. If that information had gotten out...his plans for his "legacy" would have died a quick death, because we would have been at war with Iraq and other ME regimes. Remember, the man guy in Jayna's investigation Al Hussaini, is a former Iraqi Republican Guard member. A possible direct link to OKC and Iraq...and this war we are in now, would have occurred in 95-96. Would have killed that legacy.

The Gorlick memo came obviously some time after the first World Trade Center bombing. I think a decision was made that we are not going to allow or look for ME connections to any terrorist activity here in America, so that Bill could get his legacy. Just think of what history would have said about the person that brought peace to the most troubled area of the world for the past 2000 years? Big stuff.

Plus...it was obvious that the Clinton administration was after fundamentalist, white, religious men. Not that they didn't deserve to be prosecuted, but we had the Branch Davidian mess, all over some weapons charges, on a guy that could have easily been arrested when he was walking down the street in Waco the days and week leading up to the standoff, and then Tim McVeigh. Yes, McVeigh was guilty, but that was all they wanted. A couple of disaffected, disillusioned, fundamentalist, white, religious men. More David Koresh types.

I could go on but I will spare you all. Sorry. Most people, that I know here in OKC believe there is more to the bombing than has been officially told.
