I agree. Even Clark said this in his testimony. Why didn't the White House jump on that and say - Gee, this guy helps blow up the WTC, he goes to Iraq, and the democrats can't get him because the Clinton administration couldn't extradite him from an Iraq that around a year earlier had been totally defeated in the first gulf war.

I think we also should emphasize the difference between how democrats and republican react to terrorist attacks on the same WTC. Dems try to indict and extradite, Republican issue ultimatums and fight.

Yousef and Nichols crossed paths in the Phillipines. Mohammed was Yousef's uncle. It is interesting to note that Yousef entered the United States on an Iraqi passport and had been known among the New York fundamentalists as "Rashid, the Iraqi". Another name that could be thrown into the mix is Abdul Rahman Yasin, a U.S. citizen who moved to Iraq in the 1960's and returned to the U.S. in 1992. After the 1993 WTC bombing, Yasin fled to Iraq and was given money and housing by Saddam Hussein's regime.

This stuff will be revealed over the summer and fall I feel quite sure. It could not be put out too quickly because it would allow time for the RATmedia to launch a all out counterattack of lies (as it did with Clarke's attack on the President.) By doing it at the right time the RATmedia machine can be kept off balance unable to formulate an effective response. So far the administration has handled this beautifully and Ashcroft's delivery of the deathblow to this Commission could not have been better handled.
