Why isn't Michael Moore making one of his films about TWA 800?
Good points, both.
Don't leave out the fact that every state attorney was fired the day Clinton took office (excuse me, 'requested to resign.')
Clintons didn't accidently find themselves in scandals. They had a playbook set before they arrived in Washington and were hell-bent on corruption, treason, and heaven-knows-what-else.
It's sad that so many have to die as we find out his true legacy, the one they're continually trying to whitewash.

Yes your right,,, I wonder why ?????? as Rush would say ........ HHHHHHHmmmmmmmmmmm ?

I would like to know how many times that Gorelick met with Hillry and her side of the White House.
The talk is that the "wall" between intelligence agencies and LE agencies was put into place to help derail any investigations into illegal campaign funds leading directly from the Red Chinese military to the dems and clinton campaigns. Can you guess who would have orderd those directives?

1) FBI
2) Oklahoma Jones' invesitigative (defense) team
3) Jayna Davis
Yup. Just the first two ...
>The petition by Oklahoma State Rep. Charles KeyKey's got nothing; and BOR told him to 'come back' when had something ...
I just went to the OKC Bombing Memorial over the July 4th weekend. I thought that the whole memorial seemed like a rather hokey thing, until I actually saw it in person, and the meaning really hit home during a presentation by one of the Park Rangers who explained the signifigance of everything making up the memorial. It was really touching.
My condolences to OKCSubmariner, and everyone else who lost loved ones during that dispicable, murderous act.

Oklahoma CityOh, and to top it off - NO ONE* has 'claimed credit' for the OKC bombing ...
* No government, no organization, foreign or domestic
This stuff will be revealed over the summer and ...A tie-in between OKC bombing and TWA800?
I don't want to set you up for a fall or anything, but don't hold your breath about these independently occurring events that have nothing in common ...
To start with, the 747-100 that comprised FLT TWA800 was a on airframe (90,000 some odd hours) and had at one time been owned by Iran (WHO KNOWS how roughly they may have treated it) and had a well-known problem with wiring AND a previous accident (UA811) where the forward outward-opening cargo bay door blew open ...
AS to McVeigh, NO ONE has ever found ONE shred of evidence linking anyone to McVeigh except Nichols and the Fortiers.
Speculation, yes.
Evidence, no.
Read this, and then its antecedent here - and then wonder some more about TWA800 and 747 cargo doors thatopen mysteriously.
www.iasa.com.au/folders/Safety_Issues/Aircraft_Wire/cgdooropened2.html
Discrepancy/Corrective Action: FWD CARGO DOOR OPENED BY ITSELF WHEN CB PUSHED IN. ON ARRIVAL, CIRCUIT BREAKERS WERE PUSHED IN, WHEN PRESSURE RELIEF DOOR HANDLE WAS OPENED THE DOOR LATCHES OPENED AND THEN THE DOOR OPENED ON ITS OWN.
... Boeing also informed the Safety Board that, in May of 1991, a B-747 operated by Qantas was found to have chafing of the wires in the wire bundle to the aft cargo door. This airplane also had a flexible conduit protecting the wires, and the chafing was located approximately at the standoff pin on the bracket at the upper arm of the forward lift actuator.
Does anyone think it is odd that Timothy McVeigh was executed so quickly? Usually it takes 10-20 years to run out its appeals. I know he was convicted in the Federal system, but damn, he was killed within 8 or 10 months it seems. I wonder what he took the the grave with him that might have fit in Gorelicks playbook?
As this whole episode with the 9-11 commission moves on...one is often reminded of the Warren Commission and ...The conspiracy industry made 'mince meat' of the Warren Commission report for their own selfish purposes. Make sure, in your disdain if WCR, that don't just 'blow away' an awful lot of factual information that was gathered by them that would not exist were it not for the Warren Commission and their publishing that report.
I highly recommend Gerald Posner's book Case Closed for a clean, even treatment of the facts in that case.
Instead of allowing personal feelings and opinions to interfere with this investigation, Mr. Posner used documented testimony, recorded interviews with witnesses, and modern scientific advances to explain how and why things happened the way they did. This is not THE X-FILES. The truth was out there and Gerald Posner found most of it.
Who are those people? What the hell happened to that place? I can't tell it from DU anymore.
Does anyone think it is odd that Timothy McVeigh was executed so quickly?Yeah, all the conspiracy theorists.
Simple answer: He didn't continue to fight the penalty, therefore the timeframe was a lot shorter owing to his failure to contest the verdict on appeal ...
Pg 286 American Terrorist (McVeigh's account)
And if the U.S. government was allowed to get away with what happened at Waco and Ruby Ridge, there was an imminent threat to the lives of gun owners, McVeigh said. "I would have no problem standing up at trial and admitting [the bombing], saying, 'This was a necessity,'" McVeigh said.
But Jones wouldn't bite. His responsibility was to give McVeigh the best possible defense, not a forum for his political views. He told McVeigh they would have to fight the charge, to force the government to prove McVeigh had bombed the building, and poke what holes they could in the evidence.
Furthermore, Jones simply did not believe MeVeigh's contention that he acted alone on April 19, 1995. Jones was convinced there was a much bigger conspiracy - one he imagined might well have involved international connections. He did not believe that one former Amy sergeant, with limited experience in explosives, could have pulled off everything McVeigh claimed, with only minimal assistance. McVeigh never wavered from his story: he alone drove the truck bomb to Oklahoma City, parked it in front of the building, and lit the fuses. And he alone made the decision to bomb the building during daylight hours, when it was full of people. Yet Jones seemed to think that McVeigh was sacrificing himself to protect others.
"There was no big conspiracy," McVeigh said. "It was mostly me. The few friends who helped me were acting under duress, and none of them had any control over when I was going to blow up the Murrah Building."
Nevertheless, at various times Jones tried to link the bombing to associates of Terry Nichols in the Philippines; to Osama bin Laden and other Arab terrorists; to a German descendent of a Nazi Party leader; to neo-Nazis in Great Britain; to Rarnzi Yousef, mastermind of the World Trade Center bombing; and to associates of a white separatist group in the Oklahoma compound Elohim City.
All nonsense, McVeigh said. But Jones was convinced that the FBI had never really investigated the bombing thoroughly, and he was determined to crack open a conspiracy. The lawyer traveled to the Philippines, trying to prove that Nichols had met with terrorists there. He flew to Israel to learn about Arab terrorists, and to Great Britain to discuss the Oklahoma City bombing with experts on the Irish Republican Army. Jones hired a Harvard professor, an expert on Arab terrorists, to work with the defense team.
Since you seem to have cleared this matter up for all of the freeper, call Jim R. and we can close down all of the discussions. No need to brainstorm or compare notes, hell you have decided we are conspiratorialists. Well Jim, kiss my conspiracy.

And the 100 or so people who saw what looked like a missle...all at the same time...some on land...some on the water...couple in the air...mass hysteria?
As he was putting together his timeline of key events, Jack left out one very key event.
Just as the "first 100 days" was winding down from the newly elected 1995 congress, when despite the media claims otherwise, Newt and the congress was passing all the elements of "The Contract with America".
Clintoon could see his chances of reelection waining. If I remember correctly, it was just a few days before April 19 when clintoon stood at a podium and repeated his temper tantrum by pounding his fist and saying "The presidency is still relevent."
Red in the face and continuning to pound the podium, "The presidency is still relevent, the ..."
