London-AP -- Head-banging heavy metal music may be o-k to listen to while driving -- but stay away from some of the older classical stuff.

Britain's R-A-C Foundation has named Richard Wagner's (VAHG'-nurz) fast-paced "Ride of the Valkyries" (VAL'-keer-eez) as the top tune not to listen to while behind the wheel -- because it says research shows loud music can cause accidents.

Three modern songs also made the top five, including "Firestarter" by the Prodigy.

The foundation also provided a top-five list of songs that can be played safely while driving -- though it cautions the volume should be kept down.

That list includes the Norah Jones hit "Come Away with Me."

Manzarek has finally, *totally* lost it!......:))

Back in my younger days [when I used to cat around in my car all night] I'd make it a point to wind up on the mountain overlook in Gambrill State Park at dawn.
And naturally, I'd pop Uriah Heep into the tape player and play "Sunrise", as it did.

Man.
Where did the years all go?

I was stealin', when I shoulda been buyin'....

I know 10 mph over the limit doesn't sound like much, but keep in mind that I typically drive on the Long Island Expressway, where there are only two apparent speeds:

1) dead standstill, and
2) 75.

;)

Regards,

Too BAd! My last name is Wagner and whenever "Ride of the Valkyries" is on the radio, for example like this weekend being broadcast live from "The Met" I crank it and put the pedal to the metal...
