Maybe, but the people underwriting this venture do so based on the premise the Airbag will build audience and become self sufficient through ad revenue. If advertisers started pulling their support this early, that is like hanging an albatross around your neck. If they see a losing proposition, they will yank their money and put it somewhere else where it can do some good.

I will blame Bush and the 9/11 Commission. The last hold outs that were listening listened to Bush's press conference and the 9/11 Commission instead. They lost their last listener.
That would be me.
Ok, so I'm not in Chicago or LA, but I was still their last listener.

Air America never had any commercial advertisers, ever.
I saw an article early on which stated that the only advertising they had was from Liberal Non-Profits and Foundations. Nothing you can build on for the future.
This thing was dead from birth. Without commercial time being sold this thing can never make it. It's not like it is NPR or something government sponsored.
I predicted June 30 but like another Freeper said I may have been overly generous.

the people underwriting this venture do so based on the premise the Airbag will build audience and become self sufficient through ad revenue Maybe if they were running it as a real business -- but the underwriters don't care if they lose money, it is political advertising, not a profit center.

Put me in for January (whatever the day after the Inauguration of President Bush is).
They will keep it afloat as a propoganda machine, then quietly kill it.

It appears today AirBag America has ceased transmissions on their Los Angeles and Chicago stations! The only listeners ERR America had, were freepers who wanted to hear how BAD the liberal talk shows were. HA! HA! HA! HAAAAA!

I understand, but even a few libs have some smarts about them. If this thing costs them a dollar a listener, they will pull the plug and put it into something else that will give them more political bang for their unholy buck.

I also wonder if the media will ask Al Franken what mistakes he made, and if he will apologize to his financial backers for failing to build an audience?
Hmmmmm, how long should I wait for that question?

If Airbag falls in the forest and know one hears it, does it make an impact?

They only had 4 to begin with, that is half their output!

The studio is on a tractor trailer on it's way to Wyoming today, arriving in about 10 days. It will take us about a week to set up the old studio and get it running, then give us another 2 months or so to build then NEW studio.
RIGHTALK should be rolling out nationally around the beginning of July, later than we wanted but that still gives us 4-5 months before the election.
