Look at the big picture HR II. The majority of the news you're getting is from the ultra liberal media as they seek to overthrow GWB. I truly believe that the faction in Iraq that is ungrateful are Baath holdovers, some malcontents, plus Iranians, some Syrians, some Saudis, etc.

A Marine Captain, currently in Iraq, spoke to this on Hannity's radio show yesterday. He mirrored what you have said, Chu Gary. He said that any Iraqi who speaks out in support of the U.S. on camera is a very courageous person because they and all their family will then be in danger of being tortured and murdered. He said that most will tell you privately that they are glad that we are there and Saddam is gone. That is believable and understandable to me. Very interesting too because I have seen lots of pics/video of Iraquis cheering our troops and/or protesting Saddam loyalists. Ya gotta be pretty happy to risk your life to show it.

The "Talks" should revolve around whether Sadr is served "Well Done" or "Tartar". Anything beyond that should involve munitions.

The Dem. leadership and mainstream media however consider losing a goal. A coveted goal. I strongly believe in giving the benefit of the doubt but if you are still harboring doubts that the left, especially in the media, are in any way supportive of American interests (in so far as any moral or ethical values are concerned) then I think you should take another look at the bigger picture and honestly ask yourself if there is any way to see the left-wing POV as simply "misguided but sincere."

Analyse their words and actions back to 9/11. Back to '92. Back to Reagan, Carter, Nixon, Viet Nam. Roe v Wade.
