Bravo to Fox--the truth must be told. Just sent this to the Commission, my Congress Critters and then forwarded it to friends for action by them:
I am furious at the statement of Chairman Thomas Kean in a press conference after todays testimony.
In response to a question concerning Congressman James Sensenbrenners call for the resignation of Commissioner Jamie Gorelick, Mr. Kean said, People better stay out of our business.
I find this statement outrageous! If the Commissioner wants people out of his business then NONE of these hearings should be open to the public.
Commissioner Gorelick wrote the memo in 1995 that reinforced the wall that kept intelligence services from cooperating with each other, thus leading to the climate that allowed the 9/11 terrorists to elude capture. Yet here she is sitting in judgment of individuals that were hamstrung BY HER from protecting the nation. She must resign.
I am also angry that Monsoor Ijazs request to testify publicly has been denied. Could it be that this is because he will testify to brokering three offers from the Sudanese to hand over Osama bin Laden to the Clinton Administration? It seems the Commission only wants certain parties to be heard by the public for the express purpose of blaming 9/11 on the Bush Administration.
I am also copying this email to my Congressmen to protest the fact that my tax money is being used to fund this witch-hunt.

Saw it - Sensenbrenner was very clear and direct, though I'm not sure that the "average joe" will get it. We are going to have to put this in much plainer language of Gorelick as an unjust and pre-disposed judge on this panel.
I'm amazed (though I shouldn't be) how non-plussed the mainstream media is over this bombshell.

Has ANYONE reported this besides FNC and some conservative internet articles?

Since I refuse to watch anything but FNC, I don't know.

Same here. Once in a GREAT while I'll check in with CNN, but I only consider it a freeper duty so we can see what the enemy is saying. But I draw the line at the alphabet networks; can't even do it for freepers. LOL

Gorton and Gorelick are on Chrissie's show now. Don't know how much of this I can stomach.
Gorton is blaming it on Reagan! Fair and balanced? Oy.

Denying that she raised the wall.

My sister just called and asked me where the counterpoint to Gorelick is. I said there ARE no partisan Pubs on the Commission. Gorton is a blinkin' idiot.

Perhaps we need to ask that Kean ALSO resign as he is incapable of defining who is and isn't PARTISAN? Oh, what the He%^, just disband the whole CIRCUS? Tell them they can get Air Time on AIR America (except in CHicago and that other city that took them off)....What is the name of fish poop? Bass - turds!
To: princess leah
Sounds like a plan:-) Don't know if I can stand much more of Chrissie butt-licking Gorton and Gorelick.

My reply...
It was bad enough when you started the hearings allowing spectators to show their support for all attacks against the sitting President, but when you denied the same to his supporters your agenda became very clear.
There is nothing about this hearing that is bipartisan! Your actions might make for great polls in your home state but they are not agreeing with the rest of America. We do want answers and you're not letting us hear them. You are choosing what the public should hear and that is wrong. If you really need to project this to the public, then you need to be fair and allow the public to all testimony, except that of the President and his staff.
Clinton is no longer president and shouldn't be treated as such. If you really want the facts known, you need to share his testimony with the public. Instead you have sheltered him and his cabinet from scrutiny. You did allow a hit man, who was promoting a book, and a weak woman that the Republicans couldn't attack (without looking vicious) to speak to the public on his behalf. How lame..!
But the lastest rounds of op-ed pieces and press-releases??? What is this garbage? If you were in a court of law, you would have a gag order imposed on you. However, since one of your commission members has already determined she is above the law, there is nothing that can stop this despicable farce.
Thanks for making me realize that my money should be invested in more garbage dumps....

Rush said today the reason the RNC isn't making an issue out of many of these things is because they are still trying to "set a new tone in Washington." The new tone is sounding a lot like the Battle Hymn of the French Republic.

Tenet schmoozed his way into being retained by GWB. If you recall, there was a dedication ceremony in April 1999 of the George Bush Center for Intelligence (Headquarters). Tenet was the DCI at the time. George HW Bush said in his opening remarks at the dedication the following:
Mr. Director, thank you for those overly kind remarks. Let me thank the great team that we have running CIA. I think all the former Directors here would agree that in George Tenet we have one of the very, very best.
Tenet is the least qualified, least impressive DCI in the history of the Agency yet his tenure has been among the longest. Only Dulles served longer. A change is long overdue, but nothing will happen until after November.

just disband the whole CIRCUS? If only we could get some republicans to crawl out of hiding and speak out. The Commission has serious credibility issues. She withheld relevant evidence for heaven's sake. I guess anything goes. Oh no, here's Breitswieser AGAIN. The President was on vacation.....blah blah blah

Denying that she raised the wall. Madame Gorelick....tear down this wall!

Another idiot widow talking about how girls never learned how to play shoot em up when she was a kid. Huh??? Breitweiser asking why we had no air defenses in NYC. I'm not certain, but I believe it's because the Clinton administration shut down the air base in NJ.
