Does Slade Gorton ever stop blinking? He is surely one dim bulb.

This Commission is just a huge joke at this point. I mean most of Bush's appointees weren't even confirmed until what May, and even then the Dem controlled senate was still trying to stall them but realized they couldn't get away with it politically.
Bush was right when he wanted to limit their time but you had Republicans like McCain who argued against it. And with McCain who can trust his motivation? I don't.
There is a big difference between hijacking a plane to secure the release of a political prisoner and hijacking a plan to fly it into buildings as if a missile.

Gorelick knows the true reason for the "wall"...
Everthing Clinton did was to protect Clinton. I suggest that Clinton wanted to restrict info sharing between FBI and CIA in order to protect investigations into potential criminal cases regarding his actions and the actions of his close friends. The "gag order" was Clinton's way to limit investigation into his affairs...why else would agents be threatened with their careers?
Perhaps Freepers can connect the dots and recall what investigations into Clinton would have been advanced had the FBI and CIA shared info. (Chinagate for one?)
It was always about Clinton.

Actually on Hardball last night I believe it was Thompson who disabused Mathews of this urban legend. While I am pleased to hear Thompson told Chris of this debunking that Howlin has underscored several times, I would not count on it having penetrated Chris' thick skull. I am not watching him anymore, but wouldn't be surprised if he continues asserting, or letting guests assert without correction, this notion.

Just went to C-Span; had FNC on. Good question - maybe they know it's entertaining to see the facial expressions on both sides. LOL

Gorelick attempts to banter with Gorton when his time is up and he responded kind of like "well duh".
Please let her days be numbered on this panel.
Asking Mueller about "above his pay grade" is there someone who brings together the strategy and capability to fight this.
Mueller: Yes, Homeland Security and NSC.
Foreign policy is formed by a number of different agencies having a role.

It's a question of maturation. Obviously this young man is not suffering, as most liberals are, from eternal arrested development syndrome (EADS)

No way is Gore-Lick leaving this committee. Arrogant doesn't begin to describe her. How she even has the nerve to question the current FBI director is maddening.

"only wanted to learn how to fly planes into building." I wonder how many flight instructers were lost during those lessons?

Speaking of EADS (LOL), I do believe Cuomo has it as well. He is threatening to send 50,000 protestors to the GOP convention in NYC if Pataki and the RNC leadership don't change the drug laws.
The article doesn't say how they want the drug laws changes but we can make some interesting guesses.

Totally off-topic, but have y'all heard that Al Franken and Jeanine Garofolo (Air America) were kicked off the air in L.A. and Chicago?!!!
They bounced a check and owe the radio stations over a million dollars. The stations changed the locks on them this morning and put on new programming in their place...LOLOLOLOLOL!
More on Drudge.....

Huh.
Interesting that Bush is pulling ahead of Kerry in Jersey. Wonder if the two are connected.
