More info on Ms. Gorelick:
On Aug. 22, 1996, just a few days before the start of the Democratic National Convention, Ms. Gorelick oversaw a critical Justice Department meeting with the FBI. Immediately after this meeting, as it happened, all serious inquiry into the fate of TWA 800 came to an end.
On the next day, for instance, the FAA began to inquire whether any dog-training exercises had ever taken place on the plane that would become TWA 800. On the same day, as CNN reported, the FBI now claimed publicly for the first time that the explosive residue found along the right wing "could have been brought on the plane by a passenger and was not part of a bomb." Likewise, after the meeting, the FBI would do no more eyewitness interviews, at least not for the next two months. The Bureau only did a handful after that and all of those for the wrong reasons.

Gorelick, formerly the number two person in the Clinton Justice Department is a Democratic appointee to the Commission charged with preparing a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Gorelick was an inappropriate choice for that position because she is a partner in the Washington law firm of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering. According to Newsweek, Wilmer, Cutler represents Prince Mohammed al Faisal in the suit by the 9/11 families. The families contend that al Faisal has legal responsibility for the 9/11 attacks.

I am aware of the dyke allegations against Janet Reno and have no doubt that they are all true and further, lend credibilty to the reason for her appointment as AG. I.e. She covers billy-boy's sorry a** and meets the basic requirement of the closet dyke Hillary. Again, my point -- all this just shows the danger in electing democrats to any position of responsiblity in government.

This woman will NOT be asked to resign by this commission, she most likely will be dubbed a hero by the leftist partisan hacks on it. The war on terror is their ticket back to power in their minds, therefore since she is one of the reasons it happened, she will be a shining star in the democrat party. Our security be damned.
IS THE MEDIA ON THIS? ARE THEY SCREAMING ABOUT THIS MEMO?

IS THE MEDIA ON THIS? ARE THEY SCREAMING ABOUT THIS MEMO?Only the conservative media. The NY Times buried Gorelick's role deep in their story on the "wall".

I'm beginning to wonder if Toon was being blackmailed into submission. There are just too many co-incidences. Too many impediments put in the way. Too many leaks, tip-offs. Too many things that happened to benefit UBL and AQ. Like I said, call me covered in tinfoil, but I'm really beginning to wonder.

Playing hardball:
"Government erected this wall," Ashcroft said. "Government buttressed this wall. And before September 11, government was blinded by this wall."
The attorney general, who declassified the document for the commission, said hebelieved panel members were not aware of it, even though it was written by one of their own.

Then why do you think the "wall" was put up?The wall is the intelligence equivalent of Posse Comitatus. It was there to prevent an organization that operates outside normal U.S. laws from spying on American citiens. In theory it's a good idea, but the people who made it started worshipping the letter of the idea rather than the spirit.
The left, of course, has always had more to fear from agencies that monitor sedition.

Yes, I find it hard to disagree. I was a sixties lefty, just like Clinton, and I ceased to see America as the enemy way back when.

Reno is probably a smart lady but she goes into this mode where mode where she can't help anybody. Almost like the rainman. Reno was there to protect Clinton, thats it.

You recall correctly. Ain't the procedures sometimes grand? ;)
To: NotchJohnson
What does she do now, besides the comission? Her law firm's representing a Saudi prince who's getting sued by the survivors of 9/11.
