As far as recommendation letters, I have proof of performance in way of copies of my confidential performance reviews. Letters of recommendation are great and good; but, I'm not sure what point you're making in that regard I must say. They go with well crafted resume's. Walmart and McDonalds don't need resume's and that's about all there is around here. So, while we're being sheepishly nice. I'll now ambush you the way you tried to ambush me.
You have made a big issue of your "terminal" illness. Since the only illness you have admitted to is emphysema I thought I would ask you in private as one who also suffers from it a couple of questions. You say you are young. How young. You say it is terminal, what is your FEV1. If you have emphysema you also are very familiar with that term and you know the number. Emphysema has a mortality rate of between 5 to 10 years from diagnosis to death and the vast majority are diagnosed in their late 50s. I will keep this private if you answer these questions. I will also cut you some slack in the open forum because the disease is a very bad one but your posts have not convinced me that you are telling the truth. If you don't answer then I will ask you in the open forum since you have made it an open issue in almost every post you make.
Now, do you recognize your letter here? I don't have my fEV1 number in my head or on paperwork; but, I'm sure if you have to have it, I can make a call to the doctor's office and get the test results. My copies burnt when my house went up. I've not needed to know that information despite what you've said because I haven't changed doctors in the last 4 years since the diagnosis. And if you know anything about what you're talking about, it isnt critical to know those numbers until the symptoms arise to warrant progressive treatments. So far, I've been lucky and have only had need of an inhaler that I can carry in my pocket. I'm also aware it normally doesn't hit in one's 30s - I'm 35. I know one other person who has it in her 40s and is in worse shape than I am in shorter time. My elasticity is still fairly good; but, I've begun feeling it in my upper back and lower sides in the past year. Massages help, but don't make it go away. Need any more for now or do I call the doc tomorrow and get the elasticity score you're asking for in order not to pommel the hell out of me for whatever reason you think you're justifying.
Since you're poking around for something to burn me with, you can go look up the handicap too - Congenital Nestagmus. Not a registered handicap that I can get a plate for and don't need one as it happens cause I can't drive a car. I can at least drive a motorcycle for now - that's good 5 months a year. I didnt' make a big issue of it. I mentioned it as part of my story, just like my house burning down is part of the story - need citation for that? You'll have to call either the park I lived in or the local firehouse cause the newspaper didn't see profit in printing it. Need that information or do you want to threaten me over that first. I'll pause for 5 minutes here and pretend I gave you the chance to threaten me - feel better?
Sorry to say, I have nothing to hide here; but, this is beneath contempt. Something I've come more and more to expect from you people.
