They (the terrorists) seek to panic America into terror and retreat...
Are you listening Dems? As you aid and abet...
To: Maigrey

UN's election assistance team is working on next January's election. Don't worry: It's probably just an ersatz mission...like sending the hubby out for MORE hot water when a mother's delivering a baby.

Don't you know that it is just KILLING those reporters to be called to a press conference, and have to sit on their hands and LISTEN to the President for 18 mins. I just love this Dubya!

The clown face in the curtain is what is driving me crazy.
That's no clown, that's Abe Lincoln!

Kind of sounded like he was declaring war on Islam there for a moment.

I didn't notice the tie until you all mentioned it, but what I did notice is that he looks like he needs a haircut.
He's doing good, regardless of the flashing tie (it's pulsating on my screen too).

"Again, I love this serious dedicated man."
So do I. I am so proud of him.
This conference was exactly what we needed to hear--an update on the positive strides made in Iraq. We got daily briefings during the war but there haven't been daily, or weekly, or biweekly "updates" that carried by the major news media, at least none that I knew of. Such official briefings would have gone a long way to avoid some of the negativism. I mean, even I, in the past few days, have started to doubt.
Now, I'm full of hope again and am so very proud of GW. He's taken the difficult path, the one that will ultimately lead to greater (non-material) rewards, and God bless him for that. God bless the men and women getting it done, as well.
btw, I had to kick my husband off of the Montreal Canadiens/Boston Bruins game to see this--he wasn't too pleased. ;)

I think we're going to unleash the Marines on Fallujah tomorrow.

Great speech. Awesome. Yeah, I think so too. He's toned down which is likely good for a speech such as this. Serious, yet not seeming opportunistic.
