This will be tonights live thread..
When the president of a company is having computer problems and call the help desk and gets somebody he can not understand.......Not good.
EDS's problems are bigger than the outsourcing they are trying and that is not working. Lots of people are loosing their job at EDS just due to downsizing. EDS's problems are from the top and that is where the blame should land.
The hypocrites on all sides and their political tit for tat, and endless juvenile punchfest and name calling is very disturbing. This includes the Republican's, Democrats and the press.
I have a dream of a United America, a country that protects it's own borders and sovereignty, and puts our *own* people first, all the time, everytime.
I know, this sounds a little extreme to some people.
Your "dream" sounds like Cuba;not America.
I actually knew that would sound too extreme to someone of your position, nopardons.
I knew someone like you would make a statement like this, which makes me feel even better, and I'll wear it as a badge of honor, as many of us stand more than a few paces to the right of President Bush, as it's pretty clear the President is not an American conservative. The borders and security of America should be the first priority. They unfortunately have been ignored.
It would be like trying to stop an Indian attack in a wagon train, as the wagon master refuses to circle the wagons for protection. It's only common sense to lock the windows and doors to the house when people are cruising the neighborhood wanting to kill you. As it is now, there is more than likely hundreds that are already in the house with agendas of death, while we continue to leave the doors and windows wide open. We will never kill the millions that hate America, so it would only be common sense to protect our country the best we possible could. After all, protection of America, here at home, is what this is suppose to be all about.
Nopardons, you are just too politically biased, your opinions really doesn't even count to those that may be searching for the truth, or wanting to read real honest opinions. You have your business so far up the GOPs rear end, you need a light. You just repeat the same thing the mob says over and over, just as they do from the other beltway camp.
But thanks for making that statement. It obviously corroborates everything I have ever suspected that of you and several others here that parade around in conservative clothing, when in reality, my teenagers are more conservative that some of you folks.
He called the President's work last night a 'slam dunk' (because he didn't give the left....and the Kerry campaign.....the sound bite they were obviously trolling for last night). and he actually had a Democrat caller (woman) who was CRYING because she felt so sorry for how badly the press was treated President Bush.
I call that complete victory. You need to stop being embarrassed that he wasn't eloquent enough.
Dear Mr. Hume:
I watched the President's speech last night, then watched your post-speech analysis. My TV is usually always tuned in to Fox News, and so my viewing last night continued with Hannity & Colmes and then Greta's show.
Last night I observed contradictory comments from CiCi (sp?) Connelly between her appearance on the panel with you and then on Greta's show. When she was offered to give her opinion on your panel, she was complimentary of the President's presentation, going so far as to say that he should do this type of press conference more often because he is at his best during them. Then, while on Greta's program, she made derogatory comments regarding the President's performance, claiming that he stumbled and didn't even answer some of the questions.
Mr. Hume, the only explanation I can come up with for her flip-flopping is that she felt intimidated by the likes of you, Mort and Fred. Now if she has a problem being honest with the three of you, I don't think she deserves the privilege of sitting at the same table with individuals who are at least honest in their assessments. I have no respect for someone who finds it necessary to change their message to suite the audience they are in front of. Obviously, Ms. Connelly has attended the John Kerry School of Waffling.
How about finding someone who isn't afraid to make opposing comments and then take the heat for what they've said. Even Moira and Juan, who I rarely agree with will sit and take the criticism of their fellow panelists. Ms. Connelly needs to be replaced.
Thanks for your time and for the great work you do.
This kind of "Chicken Little" comment is the cause of us losing manufacturing and heavy industry jobs overseas...
I can't believe you took that seriously. I was joking.:)
I might have missed the first half hour but I caught many of his comments on the Bush speech.
I like the way he said the lib press was trying to trap Bush into saying he made "mistakes" and that even though he didn't do it so gracefully, he did a great job of avoiding their trap.
I made the exact same comment last night during the speech more than once.
He called the President's work last night a 'slam dunk' (because he didn't give the left....and the Kerry campaign.....the sound bite they were obviously trolling for last night).
Yes. He is right. That was definitely a plus. And it was smart of Bush not to fall for it.
and he actually had a Democrat caller (woman) who was CRYING because she felt so sorry for how badly the press was treated President Bush.
Really? That brings up an interesting angle.
Maybe Bush was purposely responding that way .... Kinda like the way he gets people to underestimate him all the time and it works to his advantage in the end. :)
I call that complete victory. You need to stop being embarrassed that he wasn't eloquent enough.
You're probably right.
I am pleasantly surprised by hearing so many people talk about his lack of eloquence, and kind of stumbling performance during the Q&A, but all these people still strongly agreed with all he said and supported him.
That's the way I feel.
Anyone who has ever read my posts, knows that I don't glibly repeat RNC talking points.I state facts(which you are woefully devoid of),know what I'm talking about ( unlike you),and you can't stand that you are so easily refuted by me. :-)
You and MLK Jr. have/had a dream, but unlike MLK,his could have come to fruition in America. You want an America that never existed and if it should, could only do so using SOCIALISM.Any nation who " protects " it's workers,is done so with MARXISM. And FORTRESS AMERICA,which is what you and Pat yearn for, is a nightmare, not a pleasant "dream".
It would really help some of you MORE CONSERVATIVE THAN THOUERS,to at long last find out just what the word Conservative means, since you aren't one. What you are,is an anachronistic modern day KNOW NOTHING .Go read up on them;you're kindred spirits.;^)
Your disgust is misplaced, since the person you are championing, is a liar and a fraud.Hes is NOT "very ill",he does NOT have a "handicap",and he high jacked a thread for attention;any kind of attention.Going off topic, with his bizarre soap opera, was neither a " brilliant tangent",nor helpful. It was irrelevant, shameless histrionics, and childish beyond belief!
President Bush used " Compassionate Conservative" in his first run for president, that doesn't mean that we who voted for him, need to turn ourselves into dribbling bleeding hearted LIBERALS,who dab our eyes and gush over every sad sack story to come down the pike, true or as in this case, not.
