C- for the President: too many "uh" pauses.
F+ for the press: a singularly agenda-driven bunch of bogus "questions" (OTOH they were mostly clean and well dressed).

"Bush just good-ol-boy'd a lot of people. He just plain spoke and awe-shucked the media and a lot of other folks. I've been saying for many years that Bush is not a man you play poker with. Because he will beat you, then give you a couple of bucks back as you go out the door thinking you will come back and win "next time". And you come back, and he does it to you again. And again. And again....
LOL..and they secretly love it, in a sick sort of way.

I am always taken back by the simplicity of the President's style and how he can connect and communicate with the American people. Yes. I think this is a plus, in some ways, and I'm hoping when compared to Kerry who is an eloquent sanctamonious bag of wind..it will work in Bush's favor.

Go for it buckaroo, feel good for being insulting?

The mainstream media is operating on an obsolete business model, and will shortly crumble under it's own beheamouth weight.
The new media is faster, more vast, able to update quicker, and easier to report the information. Papers will whither away, but until the business models for TV media change, there will always be the CNN propaganda.

I replied with one word, not the story of my life. You and your friends jumped all over a guy who is dying. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. President Bush would not be happy about that behavior. I disagree with quite a bit that President Bush has done domestically, but I believe that he really does care for people as individuals and would not have treated someone as callously as was done tonight.
BTW, I don't miss you.
That's ok Howlin, I still like you.

"he uses less "uh's" and more "Ahems".
Ahem, that's pretty, er, good.
Good enough I had to post another comment, even though I swore I wouldn't, because everytime I post one there's like 100 more when I get back.

Not getting Osama is not a mistake that HE made.
That might have been a slick answer, but it would have been a lie.
And he doesn't lie.

Tonight, he only got his base.First of all, the President's base is important. Secondly, it's April, the undecided are not making a decision tonight and if they were, compare the President to his opponent's constant, cynical doom and gloom approach.

at our house, we've decided that the press will be like this and even worse as the election approaches. we are just going to have to bite the bullet and buy the lexan glass panel to set in front of the television to repell thrown objects.

LOL. I let the media have it. I truly did. She just laughed and said she'd tell the President. It was great. We have our Whitehouse back and we are going to keep it. They are so respectful when you call. Everyone ought to try it, it feels good. They make you proud to be an American! :)

I still think Estrich is smiling like a Cheshire Cat because she knows that her title as campaign manager of the greatest political defeat in modern history is about to be taken by Kerry's guy in November.

"Swing voters" are the stupidest people on the planet. They cast their ballot with about all the seriousness that they put into their "American Idol" phone vote. In the end, most of them weigh all the knowledge they have about the issues and where the candidates stand on those issues, then they vote for the taller candidate.
At least the liberals have an evil agenda to which they'd adhere.
