Actually, not that much of a difference.

Look, there is plenty to criticize in the ad. The fact that they use a figure of speech to attack a member of the cabinet is small potatoes compared to the rest of the fallacies they use.

A figure of speech would be "Put him up against the wall!"

When you add "and pull the trigger!", you progress from figure of speech into communicating a threat.

There are laws against that in this country.

The fact you can't see the distinction is disturbing.

Look, the people that listen to and support the democrats are pretty mentally unstable. I believe they were hoping one of their supporters would actually do this.
